FAQ
Who can become a student member?
To become a study member, you must either be in an engineering, IT or science education. The first year, the student membership is free and then it costs only DKK 20 per month.
See list of all programs grouped by the educational institutions from which IDA accepts members.
Where can I find the discount codes
All international student members of IDA are encouraged to sign up for the IDA for Students newsletter, as this is the primary way of getting the monthly discount codes, new benefits, and news about your membership.
We also do have an app, IDA Studerende, but it is only in Danish. You can download it to find student events and see the discount codes as well – the app should not be too hard to figure out – just login with your IDA number or e-mail and password, and you are good to go.
What if my situation changes?
When you graduate your membership at IDA continues. It is important that you update your employment status, as there is a discount offered when you are unemployed and you update your information in your profile at Mit IDA.
If you are signed up at Akademikernes A-kasse for unemployment insurance, be sure to let them know as well what your status is. Read more about the unemployment insurance, timelines and further on our page, or directly at Akademikernes A-kasse.
