IDA is a trade union and Denmark’s largest community for students in IT, natural sciences and engineering. And you can be part of IDA when you study in these fields.

With over 40,000 student members, we are present in the student cities and make a difference to your student life and future job market.

Being a student member of IDA does not mean that you get a different, more limited membership.

On the contrary, you get access to all member benefits on an equal footing with the rest of our members. You just get it cheaper and in some cases even free, because we believe managing life on a student budget is hard enough already and being a part of your trade union is important.

We help you during your studies with benefits for study and fun events, as well as advice on student jobs and well-being. There are both cash discounts and partners that you can use to improve your study time.

And when you are about to graduate, we have many offers that can ease the transition from study to job. You can get competent sparring on everything from salary to skills development and more.

Events

We arrange a lot of events for students throughout the country all year round.

You get access to free study courses, gin tasting, wall climbing, investing for students and IDA Comedy and much more. The vast majority of events are at student friendly prices or free.

Counselling

Did you know that you can use IDA when you want to have your contract checked before signing and receive a salary check when you apply for a student job?

Are you in doubt and do you need an overview of what your education can be used for? We can advise you if you need insights into your future job market from someone who knows what to expect and what you are entitled to.

You can also contact us if you experience troubles in your studies that the student counselling office can´t help you with. Together we can find ressources that can help you back on your feet.

You should have received a receipt by email that you have been registered with IDA as a student member.

If you have chosen the IDA gift card, you will receive your gift card by SMS within 3 business days. Therefore, make sure to double-check that you enter your phone number correctly when you register.

The welcome gift offer is only valid until 31.10.2026, and while stocks last. The offer does not apply if you have been a student member of IDA within the last 12 months.

To send your gift card, we will pass on your name and email address to Huuray A/S, which issues and handles the gift card as a joint data controller with us. Huuray handles all issues on how to redeem the gift card and support.

Max 1 gift per person. In case of violation of the terms, we reserve the right to cancel gifts. And we also point out that it is a criminal offense to use other people’s names and personal information, and can be reported to the police.

The first year of your student membership is free, and after that it only costs DKK 20 per month.

After your first year as a member, you will be charged DKK 120 bi-annually in April and October.
